Hans Christian Nordgård has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Hans Christian began their career in 2011 with a summer internship at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing. In the same year, they also worked in commercial operations, marketing, and trading at Statoil. Hans Christian continued with Statoil, taking on the roles of analyst for portfolio optimization and refinery production planning, and later as a senior analyst for market and operational risk management. In 2016, Nordgård transitioned to Norges Bank Investment Management, where they initially served as a senior analyst and eventually became an associate portfolio manager for equity trading and transition asset strategies.

Hans Christian Nordgård obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Oslo and Akershus University College from 2007 to 2010. Hans Christian then pursued a Master's degree in Economics from the University of International Business and Economics, specializing in the field of study, from 2010 to 2011. In addition, they participated in an Exchange Programme at the University of International Business and Economics in 2009, focusing on International Business and Chinese Language.
