Marius Skrondal

Marius Skrondal, CFA has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Marius began their career at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace as an intern in image processing in 2011. Marius then moved on to Energy Micro AS, where they interned in software development. In 2012, they interned at CASH Dynamic Opportunities Investment Ltd, specifically focusing on algorithmic trading research.

In 2014, Skrondal joined UBS Investment Bank as an equity research analyst, specializing in European chemicals. This role was secured through placement by NBIM.

In 2013, Skrondal started working at Norges Bank Investment Management, participating in their Investment Talent Program for three years. After completing the program in 2016, they joined the Global Technology Equities team at NBIM. Marius held various positions within the team, starting as an equity research analyst and then progressing to associate portfolio manager. Currently, they serve as a portfolio manager for global technology equities.

Marius Skrondal, CFA holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Columbia Business School, which they obtained between 2017 and 2018. Prior to that, they pursued an exchange program in Applied Physics at the University of California, Berkeley from 2011 to 2012. Marius completed their undergraduate studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2008 to 2013, earning a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics. In 2013, they also completed coursework in Intermediate Macroeconomics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

In addition to their formal education, Marius Skrondal has obtained several certifications. Marius is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, having obtained this accreditation from the CFA Institute in July 2018. Marius also holds certifications in the field of deep learning, including a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera obtained in July 2018, and a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera obtained in February 2018.
