Snorre Gjerde

Snorre Gjerde has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. Snorre started their career in 2008 as a Customer Service Associate at Dale of Norway and later served as a Summer Intern in the Department of Accounting. In 2009, they worked as an Advisor at DNB and concurrently had a teaching assistant role at NHH for Financial Accounting. From 2013 to 2014, they interned at DOF Subsea and completed their MSc. thesis.

In 2014, Snorre joined Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), where they worked in different roles such as Investment Talent Programme participant, Analyst in Sustainability/Corporate Governance, and Senior Analyst in the same field. Snorre then took on the position of Interim Head of Environmental Initiatives - Corporate Governance before becoming the Lead Investment Stewardship Manager in 2022.

Additionally, Snorre has had involvement with external organizations. In 2021, they became a Taskforce Member of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). The TNFD aims to develop a risk management and disclosure framework for organizations to address nature-related risks.

In 2023, Snorre joined the UN Environment Programme as a Member of the Technical Advisory Group for the State of Finance for Nature (SFN) report. This report analyzes global finance flows for nature-based solutions and provides recommendations for data, methods, and analysis.

Snorre also had a brief stint as an Equity Research Analyst in the European Banks team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, during which they were on secondment from NBIM.
