Kathrine Johnsen is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in environmental and indigenous studies. As a Senior Research Scientist at the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry since September 2020 and a Research Scientist at Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA) since August 2019, Kathrine has contributed significantly to research in these fields. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Expert and Deputy Polar Programme Manager at GRID-Arendal from March 2001 to August 2019. Kathrine's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Agriculture and a PhD in Environment and Development Studies, both from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Additional educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Social Ecology and Environmental Health from Western Sydney University.
