Calixto Mateos

Managing Director/Director General, CEO at NADBank

Calixto Mateos has a strong background in risk management and strategic planning, with extensive experience in the banking sector. Calixto began their career at Banco de México in 2006, where they served as a Manager for Strategic Planning Projects before transitioning to the role of Manager of the Risk Management Unit in 2008. In 2011, they were promoted to the position of Director for Institutional Liaison, where they played a key role in managing relationships with external stakeholders. Mateos joined the North American Development Bank in 2014 as Director of Risk Management, a role they held until 2017 when they became Acting Deputy Managing Director. In 2019, they were appointed as Deputy Managing Director, responsible for overseeing the bank's operations and strategic direction. Currently, Mateos serves as the Managing Director/Director General and CEO of the North American Development Bank.

Calixto Mateos obtained their Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, completing their studies from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned their B.A. in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México between 1985 and 1989. Calixto'ssecondary education was completed at Centro Universitario Mexico, where they attained a High School degree from 1981 to 1984.
