Christopher Morris has over 20 years of work experience, with the majority of their career spent in the financial sector. Christopher began their career at State Street as an Account Auditor, where they maintained client accounts and prepared financial statements. Christopher then moved on to become an Account Manager, responsible for ensuring compliance with operating standards and accurate financial reporting for a $65 billion public fund client.

In 2005, Morris joined the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer, where they held various roles of increasing responsibility. Christopher started as a Senior Portfolio Manager, providing oversight for the Investment Management Division and training staff on performance measurement and reporting systems. Christopher then became the Director of Risk Management and Asset Allocation, where they advanced planning and management of risk in the investment portfolio, conducted compliance monitoring, and performed liquidity assessments.

Most recently, Morris served as the Chief Risk and Operating Officer, overseeing the strategic direction and risk management program of the Investment Management Division. Christopher was responsible for managing total assets exceeding $140 billion.
