Svein Tore Opdal

Svein Tore Opdal has a strong background in reservoir engineering and petroleum engineering. Svein Tore started their career in 1991 with Statoil, where they worked on projects in the North Sea, Thailand, Venezuela, and Angola. After completing their PhD, they joined PTTEP in 2008 as a Senior Reservoir Engineer. Svein Tore then moved to Mubadala Petroleum in 2013, where they were responsible for all reservoir engineering and petroleum engineering activities for an offshore oilfield development. In 2018, they joined North Oil Company Qatar as a Senior Reservoir Engineer. Overall, Svein Tore Opdal has extensive experience in well optimization, data gathering, production startup strategy, dynamic modeling, and reserves management.

Svein Tore Opdal completed their education in a specialized field of study related to engineering. Svein Tore pursued a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1981 to 1986. Subsequently, they continued their academic journey at NTNU and obtained a Ph.D. in Reservoir Engineering during the period of 1987 to 1990. These educational achievements demonstrate Opdal's dedication and expertise in the field of engineering, particularly in the areas of petroleum and reservoir engineering.
