Alan Taylor Msc

Alan Taylor MSc, CMIOSH, CEnv has extensive work experience in the field of health, safety, and environment. Alan is currently the Head of Safety, Health, and Environment at Electricity North West since May 2023. Previously, they served as the Group Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment Director at Story Contracting Limited from April 2021 to April 2023. Prior to that, they held roles such as Director of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment and Head of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment at Story Contracting Limited from June 2018 to April 2021 and March 2016 to June 2018 respectively.

Alan has also worked as a Health and Safety Manager / Quality Assurance Manager at HSB Engineering Insurance from July 2014 to March 2016. Before that, they served as a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager - UK Nuclear at OCS Group UK - OCS Environmental Services Limited from January 2014 to July 2014, and as a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager - EDS UK Nuclear at EDS Decom (formerly Kitsons Environmental Europe Limited) from April 2012 to January 2014.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Health and Safety Manager at Kitsons Environmental Europe Ltd from July 2006 to April 2012, a Health and Safety Consultant at ATG Health & Safety Consultants Ltd from May 2003 to June 2006, a Health and Safety Advisor at The Deva Tap Company (Part of the METHVEN Group) from April 2002 to May 2003, a Health and Safety Officer at Hunting Industrial Coatings from August 1998 to March 2002, and a Quality Assurance Technician at HMG Paints Ltd from August 1995 to April 1998.

Alan Taylor completed their Master's Degree in Safety, Health, and Environment from The University of Salford from 2013 to 2016.
