Francois Louw

Francois Louw has extensive work experience in the mining industry, with a focus on mine planning and consulting. Francois is currently employed as the Chief Mine Planner LTP at Northam Platinum, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Mine Planner at the same company from December 2021 to May 2023. Before joining Northam Platinum, Francois was a Resource Planner at MODIKWA PLATINUM MINE from February 2020 to January 2022. Francois also served as a Senior Mining Consultant at Deswik from August 2018 to February 2020. Earlier in their career, Francois held positions such as Section Mine Planner at Harmony Gold, Mine Planner at Self Employed Mine Planning Consultant, Sr Analyst at The Cyest Corporation, Mine Planning Engineer at Black Mountain Mining, Mine Design Engineer at Soundmining, and MIne Planner at Uranium One. Francois'sdiverse experience showcases their skills in mine design, feasibility studies, long-term planning, and on-mine planning support.

Francois Louw studied Mine Surveying at the University of Johannesburg, where they obtained a National Diploma in 1997.
