Ian Waddle

Head of Customer Operations Support at Northern Gas Networks Limited

Ian began working for Northern Gas Networks (NGN) as it was back in 1979 as an Apprentice Gas Distribution Craftsmen. Since then he has become a qualified engineer have gained a BEng (hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering and various other professional qualifications, including a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Ian has worked in a variety of roles across the business and became Head of Customer Operations in 2017. Ian has a passion for delivering a safe, economically sustainable and reliable customer centric service to NGN’s customers, by leading a team of committed colleagues responding to any reported gas escape. He has a wide range of interests which he enjoys with his family, including skiing, walking and motorcycling
