Wen Chen is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in developing innovative technology solutions across various sectors, particularly in trading, blockchain, and security products. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Northern Labs since September 2021, Wen Chen manages multiple development teams. Previously, as Head of Engineering for Markets at fabriik, Wen Chen led the design and development of trading algorithms and platforms, overseeing both frontend and backend architectures. Prior roles include Senior Engineer & Team Lead at Huawei Technologies, where Wen Chen developed a Big Data Security solution, and Senior Security Engineer & Team Lead at RBC, focusing on API security for financial services. With a strong foundation in application security from an IBM role, Wen Chen holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from McMaster University and has advanced degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Beijing Information Technology Institute.
