Sushma Niwalkar

Sushma Niwalkar is an experienced professional in AI strategy and analytics, currently serving as Senior Director — AI/Gen AI Strategy at Northwestern Mutual since April 2021. In this role, Sushma focuses on B2C and B2B2C AI solutions for insurance and wealth products, enhancing customer experiences through data-driven strategies. Prior to Northwestern Mutual, Sushma held several senior positions at Citi from November 2004 to April 2021, including Senior Vice President roles overseeing omni-channel analytics and customer experience, where significant NPS improvements and expense reductions were achieved. Earlier experience includes a role as a Business Analyst at Bank of Ireland, where predictive modeling for consumer lending was developed. Sushma holds a Master of Science in Resource Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB).
