Spencer Dawson

Spencer Dawson currently serves as the Director of Athletics Compliance at Northwestern University since October 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Indiana Court of Appeals from August 2021 to September 2022, where research and drafting of legal opinions were key responsibilities. Spencer has also held significant compliance positions at the University of Oklahoma, overseeing NCAA regulations for recruiting and eligibility from August 2018 to July 2021, and previously worked with the Horizon League in various capacities focused on compliance and governance. Spencer's extensive background in sports compliance and law is supported by a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise and Health from Purdue University.
