John McCool

John McCool has a diverse work experience with a focus on finance and management. John started their career as a Graduate Finance Trainee at Croydon Community NHS Trust and later worked at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, where they held various roles such as Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, and Internal Auditor. John implemented financial and non-financial KPI reports and assisted in the development of hospital re-configuration models.

After that, they joined DMG Radio Ltd as a Group Accountant, responsible for producing monthly accounts, managing the budget process, and coordinating annual accounts for overseas entities. John also played a key role in the disposal of the radio division.

John then worked at NOVA Entertainment as a Financial Controller for their Adelaide and Melbourne branches. John transformed a loss-making business into a profitable one and was an integral part of the leadership team that launched a new radio station. John also acted as Chief Financial Officer on two occasions and partnered with the HR Director to develop salary strategies.

In their most recent role at NOVA Entertainment, John served as the Group Commercial Manager and Melbourne Market Lead. John was responsible for financial governance, advising on critical commercial projects, and managing the company's property strategy. John also successfully introduced Power BI as the main reporting tool, delivering timely and accessible data for decision making.

John McCool attended Loughborough University of Technology from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Following this, they pursued further education at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) from 1995 to 1998, earning the title of Associate Chartered Management Accountant.
