Joe Loureiro

Joe Loureiro is a Senior Investigator at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, Inc. since December 2008, where the focus is on large data analysis for medicinal development within a multidisciplinary team. Prior experience includes a role as Project Lead/Scientist II at Genstruct, where client-generated 'omic data was analyzed to address clinically relevant biological questions. Joe Loureiro also served as a Research Scientist in the Department of Biology at MIT, specializing in mammalian cell and molecular biology, and was a graduate student at the University of North Carolina, concentrating on insect cell and developmental biology. Joe Loureiro holds a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. in biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
