I-Mei Yu

I-Mei Yu is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in protein biochemistry and research leadership. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Novo Nordisk since February 2022, I-Mei Yu previously held the position of Scientific Director and Principal Scientist at Freeline, where strategic oversight for AAV vector production and leadership in pre-clinical programs were key responsibilities. Earlier roles included Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral Fellow at Institut Curie, where significant projects related to cancer therapy were undertaken, and postdoctoral positions at Princeton University and Purdue University, focusing on structural studies and viral mechanisms. I-Mei Yu earned a PhD in Structural Virology from Purdue University and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from National Taiwan University.
