About the Role 

We seek a dynamic and experienced Project Director to lead our strategic initiatives in developing new nuclear projects. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive forward new nuclear projects for our clients, overseeing all aspects of project planning, development, and execution. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in the nuclear industry and a deep understanding of strategic planning. 

Salary Range: 140-190k (Exact compensation may vary).

Location: Kincardine, Ontario 

This role requires being on-site in Kincardine, 1-3 days a week.

What You’d Be Doing: 

  • Strategic Planning: You will develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans for new nuclear projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. 
  • Project Management: You will lead all phases of project development, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: You will cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and local communities, to facilitate project success and address any concerns or challenges. 
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project implementation and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes. 
  • Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in execution. 
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee budgeting and financial planning for new nuclear projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effective project delivery. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing nuclear energy projects, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. 

What you bring to the table? 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience supporting a variety of projects, including construction, manufacturing, or engineering services projects 
  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear energy technologies, regulations, and industry trends. 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with at least 5 years of successfully leading individuals and teams to achieve project objectives. 
  • Thorough understanding of large Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, including subcontracting, prime contract management, and supply chain dynamics. 
  • Ability to make informed, data-driven decisions using a variety of analytical tools and methodologies. 
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
