Ben Best

Ben Best began their professional career in 2008 as a Green Building Intern at Enermodal Engineering Limited. In 2009, they moved into the role of Energy Analyst at the same company, where they developed an internal web application using Django and worked on a platform to organize and analyze building energy use data. In 2010, they joined Engineers Without Borders Canada as a Market Development Strategist - Agriculture Value Chains Team, where they were responsible for direction, design and development of internal knowledge management system. In 2012, they became the Chief Strategy Officer at Kulemela. In 2013, they joined FiveStars as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on backend async pipeline and messaging infrastructure and tablet products. Finally, in 2015, they co-founded Numida Technologies and assumed the role of CTO.

Ben Best attended the University of Waterloo from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering.
