Niels Nagelhus Schia

Niels Nagelhus Schia serves as the Head of the Research group on security and defense and Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, where contributions include leadership of NUPI's Research Centre for Digital Technology and Cybersecurity. In addition to ongoing roles as co-chair of a secretariat focused on Norway's role in the UN Security Council and as an editor for the Scandinavian International Relations journal, Internasjonal Politikk, Niels has participated in knowledge-enhancing programs and consultative roles, including work with the United Nations on policy development for post-conflict nations. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Oslo and experiences as a visiting scholar at The New School.
