David Lau

David Lau has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Their recent role is as the Senior Vice President of Development Sciences at Nura Bio, which they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at FORESEE PHARMACEUTICALS, INC. as the Senior Vice President of NCE Preclinical and Clinical Development from April 2017 to November 2021.

Before joining FORESEE PHARMACEUTICALS, INC., David held positions at Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc., J&J, Rigel, Amgen, and Sandoz. At Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc., they served as the Vice President of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics from January 2010 to April 2017, and as the Executive Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics from April 2008 to December 2009. At J&J, they were the Senior Director of BA/DMPK and the West Coast Site Head of Global Preclinical Development from January 2006 to April 2008. David held the position of Senior Director of DMPK at Rigel from August 2002 to December 2005.

David Lau began their career at Amgen, where they served as the Director of PKDM from June 1994 to August 2002. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director at Amgen. Their earliest work experience was at Sandoz as a Research Scientist from May 1992 to June 1994.

David Lau obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of California, San Francisco from 1986 to 1991. Prior to that, from 1984 to 1986, they attended Buffalo State University, where they earned a B.S. in Pharmaceutics. Their education journey began at Vincennes University in 1983, where they pursued pre-pharmacy studies. However, it is not mentioned whether they completed a degree at Vincennes University.
