Sro Neil Olivier

Neil Olivier has a diverse work experience in the nuclear power industry. Neil started their career in the US Navy and served as a Leading Petty Officer in the Machinery Division aboard a Los Angeles Class Submarine. Neil was responsible for nuclear machinery maintenance and operations. Neil also served as a Nuclear Prototype Instructor and was responsible for the qualification and training of Naval Nuclear Mechanics.

After their military service, Neil worked at Southern California Edison as a Nuclear Equipment Operator and later as an Operations Secondary Plant Supervisor. Neil was responsible for the operations of safety and non-safety related equipment at a dual unit PWR nuclear facility. Neil had expertise in various equipment and systems.

Neil then joined Energy Northwest, where they were a NRC Licensed Reactor Operator at the Columbia Generating facility. Neil was authorized to perform licensed duties in the Control Room and was responsible for controlling reactor power and supervising on-shift Plant Equipment Operators.

Following their time at Energy Northwest, Neil worked at Exelon Nuclear as a NRC Licensed Senior Reactor Operator. Neil served as both a Control Room Supervisor and a Work Control Supervisor, managing control room operations and leading projects and cross-functional teams.

Currently, Neil is working at NuScale Power as a Director of Corporate Services. Neil'sresponsibilities include overseeing staff members, providing training on problem analysis and resolution techniques, and implementing performance improvement programs.

Neil Olivier has a well-rounded education history. From 2002 to 2008, they attended Thomas Edison State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology with a focus on Nuclear Engineering Technology. In 1996-1997, they also received a DOE certificate in Nuclear Power from the Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC).
