Artem Livshits is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and architecture. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Nutanix since October 2014, Artem leads the development of the Nutanix control plane database (NCPDB), a distributed NoSQL database. Previously, Artem founded and acted as CTO of OblakSoft from October 2011 to September 2014, where responsibilities included setting direction, overseeing product development, and managing customer relationships, along with the successful creation of the Cloud Storage Engine. Prior to this, from June 2000 to September 2011, Artem worked at Microsoft as a Principal Architect and Development Lead, where contributions included the architecture and development of the internal source control system used for major Microsoft products. Artem's career began as an Engineer-programmer at TAIS, focusing on airline ticket reservation systems. Artem holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET), earned between 1992 and 1997.
