Caroline Nava is a Clinical Genomics Scientist at the New York Genome Center since March 2021, with extensive experience in molecular diagnostics and genetics research. Prior roles include Associate Professor in Genetics at Sorbonne University from 2016 to 2019, where responsibilities involved conducting molecular diagnoses for epilepsy and intellectual disabilities, along with research in developmental and epileptic encephalopathies. Caroline also served as an Assistant Professor at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2012 to 2016, focusing on the molecular diagnosis of epilepsies and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Earlier experience includes a PhD at ICM - Brain & Spine Institute identifying genetic factors for Autism Spectrum Disorders and a medical internship in various fields of genetics at AP-HP. Education comprises a PhD in Human/Medical Genetics from Pierre and Marie Curie University and an MD from the Faculty of Medicine, Paris XII.
