Scientist II at Nykode

Anne Fåne Bøthun has a strong background in scientific research and engineering. Anne is currently working as a Scientist II at Nykode Therapeutics since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Oslo University Hospital as a Research Engineer, where they were responsible for various research projects from April 2014 to August 2021. Additionally, they briefly worked as an Engineer at the same institution from February 2014 to March 2014.

Before joining Oslo University Hospital, Anne gained experience at James Cook University as a Microbiology and Immunology Research Assistant from October 2011 to November 2013. During this time, they also worked as a Demonstrator in epidemiology from January 2012 to November 2012.

Anne Fåne Bøthun began their education in 2004 at the University of Bergen (UiB), where they studied molecular biology, maths, and chemistry until 2005. Anne then continued their education at the University of Agder (UiA) from 2005 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Biology degree. During their time at UiA, their studies encompassed biology, microbiology, immunology, statistics, chemistry, zoology, anatomy, and genetics. Following this, Anne pursued higher education at James Cook University from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Biomedical Sciences degree. Their studies at James Cook University focused on various disciplines, including immunology, microbiology, diagnostics, epidemiology, pathobiology, and histology.
