Nocera currently serves as Deputy Managing Editor at The Free Press since January 2024, while simultaneously working as a business columnist for Bloomberg since January 2017 and as a sports business columnist for The New York Times since April 2005. Previously, Nocera held the position of Editorial Director at Fortune Magazine from March 1995 to April 2005 and served as a Senior Writer at Texas Monthly, Inc. between 1982 and 1986. Nocera began a career in journalism as an editor at Washington Monthly Magazine from 1978 to 1980. Nocera earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Boston University, graduating in 1974.
