Justine Makieli

Justine Makieli is the Assistant Day Editor, Washington Bureau at The New York Times. Justine was previously a Homepage Producer at The Washington Post and Homepage Editor and Content Editor for Maryland News at The Baltimore Sun. Justine has also interned as a Copy Editor at The Indianapolis Star and worked as a Copy Editor/Page Designer at the Centre Daily Times.

Justine Makieli has a B.A. in journalism and Spanish from Penn State University, and they studied Spanish at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Justine also participated in the Women's Leadership Program at Yale University and the Yale School of Management.
