Dr. Pooja Sharma

Dr. Pooja Sharma is currently the Deputy Director of Diversity at New York University, focusing on enhancing the student experience through advocacy via the Student Government Assembly. Additionally, Dr. Sharma serves as a Global Health Onboarding Ambassador, supporting new students in the Global Public Health program. With extensive experience in public health education and epidemiology, Dr. Sharma has developed competencies in biostatistics, global health informatics, and environmental health, while contributing to research on health disparities and social determinants. Previous roles include Junior Resident Doctor in various specialties and Family Physician, complemented by ongoing graduate research at NYC Health + Hospitals. Dr. Sharma holds a Master of Public Health from New York University and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Sharda University.
