Byron van Vugt

Byron van Vugt is an accomplished investment manager at NZ Growth Capital Partners, with previous roles as a senior investment analyst and investment analyst since February 2020. Prior to this, Byron held positions at Fisher & Paykel Appliances from November 2015 to January 2020, including product development engineer and graduate product development engineer, contributing significantly to refrigeration systems and representing cooling systems within new platforms. Experience also includes engineering design roles at Winmar Racing and Alloy Yachts, as well as a boat building internship at Cookson Boats, where Byron was involved in significant projects such as Team New Zealand's Americas Cup Catamaran. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Auckland, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Finance, and Marketing from the same institution, complemented by a certificate in Beginners Maori language from Auckland University of Technology.
