Lucy Spence

Lucy Spence began their work experience in 2014 with a week-long placement at GlaxoSmithKline Pharma GmbH as an Industrial Cadet. Later that year, they completed a work experience program at Kelvin Hughes (A Hensoldt Company). In 2014, they also worked on a casual placement at Longfield Medical Practice, where they conducted administration and data entry for a flu clinic, resulting in a significant increase in vaccination uptake. From 2013 to 2015, Lucy served as a Cleaning Supervisor at Danbury Mission. In 2019, they joined Compass Group as a VIP Waiting Team Member at Wimbledon, where they coordinated hospitality and won an award for their contribution. Also in 2019, Lucy became a Graduate Business Analyst at HD Decisions, where they specialized in API driven mortgage eligibility solutions, provided pre-sales consultancy, managed API integration and testing, and helped improve product adoption. Lucy left HD Decisions in 2021 and joined Oakbrook as a Product Analyst, later transitioning to the role of Product Manager in January 2022.

Lucy Spence began their education journey at Chelmsford County High School for Girls from 2007 to 2014, where they completed their A levels and GCSEs. Later, they attended the University of Nottingham from 2015 to 2019, graduating with a degree in MSci in the field of Natural Sciences. In 2017, Lucy spent a year on an exchange program at the University of Sydney, pursuing an additional degree in BSc, with a focus on Advanced Mathematics and Chemistry.
