Britta Nielsen

Britta Nielsen has a strong background in user experience design and industrial design. Britta currently works at Observable as a User Experience Designer, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they were a Principal UX Designer at Tableau from April 2022 to April 2023, and also held the role of UX Designer at Tableau from October 2013 to April 2023. Before joining Tableau, they worked as a User Experience Designer at Deloitte|Ubermind from February 2012 to October 2013. Britta has experience in industrial design as well, having worked as an Industrial Designer at Whalen Furniture from March 2011 to July 2011, where they designed console gaming storage accessories and worked on ergonomic mobile gaming. Britta also served as an Industrial Designer at Slam Brands from July 2007 to March 2011. Furthermore, they interned at Intermec in 2006.

Britta Nielsen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Western Washington University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Britta then pursued further education and received a Graduate Certification in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington, completing their studies in 2013.
