May Amr

May Amr is an experienced data science professional currently serving as a Data Science Manager and Lead Data Scientist at talabat since February 2021. Prior to this, May held the positions of Machine Learning Consultant and Head of Data Science at Oceain Insights starting in April 2019, and served as a Senior Research Scientist at Affectiva from September 2011 to April 2019, where May developed various deep learning classifiers for emotion recognition. May's earlier roles include Director of Data Acquisition and Annotation as well as Director of Cairo Operations at Affectiva, Data Analyst, and Software Engineer. May began academia as a Teaching Assistant at the German University in Cairo and gained initial experience as an IT Intern at Savola Group. May holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Ulm University and a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media Engineering and Technology from the German University in Cairo.
