Michael Petrie

Michael Petrie is an experienced oceanographic technical specialist, currently working at Ocean Associates, Inc. since April 2023, focusing on processing tidal datums for the National Ocean Service. Previously, Michael served as a Senior Oceanographic Technician at Advanced Resource Technologies, Inc. and Lynker from May 2000 to July 2022, where responsibilities included monitoring water level, current, salinity, and meteorological data from numerous coastal and estuarine stations. Michael's earlier career includes roles in programming and meteorology, contributing to projects for the National Weather Service and General Sciences Corporation, among others. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Maryland at College Park.
