Tim Hord has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Tim began their career in 2001 as a Hospitality team member at Cedar Point Amusement Park. Subsequently, they served as a Crew Chief in the United States Air Force, where they performed various aircraft maintenance tasks. After completing their military service, Tim worked as an Undergraduate and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Toledo. During this time, they gained experience in research and academic support roles. Tim then joined the City of Toledo as an Intern before transitioning to the Air National Guard, where they continued to work as a Crew Chief on F-15C/D and F-16 C/D aircraft.

In 2009, Tim joined Harris Corporation as an Imagery Analyst, where they led the production of commercial imagery products. Tim later took on the role of Geospatial Analyst and played a key role in product development and quality control processes. In 2013, Tim joined the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency as a Data Steward, where they were responsible for managing and stewarding spatial and non-spatial content and data holdings. Tim also served as a Python Developer, where they specialized in automating data management and manipulation processes using Python scripts and geoprocessing tools. Tim then took on the role of Analytic Methodologist, where they led the design and implementation of enhanced analysis techniques and methods.

In 2019, Tim joined Esri as a Platform Configuration Engineer, where they focused on designing and deploying automated code for platform configuration. Tim also worked on test environment configuration, bug reporting, and software development. In 2020, Tim moved on to Ball Aerospace, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for back-end AWS development, configuration, and engineering in a microservices architecture. Tim also designed, created, and deployed custom applications using TypeScript and Python languages.

Currently, Tim is working as a Principal Software Developer at OCH Technologies, LLC. Tim'srole involves leading software development projects for the company. Throughout their career, Tim has gained expertise in software development, AWS configuration, geospatial analysis, data management, and platform configuration.

Tim Hord completed their education in a chronological sequence. In 2013, they enrolled at Northwest Missouri State University, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Science. Tim successfully completed this program in 2015, along with a certification as a Geographic Information Services Professional (GIS).

Prior to their master's degree, Tim Hord attended The University of Toledo from 2004 to 2008. There, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography.

Before their time at The University of Toledo, from 2001 to 2004, Tim Hord studied at the Community College of the Air Force. During their tenure, they focused on Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tim Hord has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they acquired the GEOINT Professional Certification Fundamentals (GPC-F) from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. In 2017, they obtained the GEOINT Professional Certification Geospatial Data Management (GPC GDM-II) from the same institution. Furthermore, Tim Hord holds the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in May 2020. Tim also obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in February 2020.
