Whitney Thompson has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Whitney currently holds the position of Director, People & Culture at OCHIN, Inc. since September 2023. Before that, they worked as the Manager, People Operations at the same company from August 2022 to September 2023. Prior to joining OCHIN, Inc., they worked at Nextep as a Human Resources Supervisor from February 2020 to August 2022. Before that, they held the roles of Sr. HR Business Partner and HR Business Partner at Nextep. Whitney started their career as a Human Resources Generalist at Noble Research Institute from May 2012 to July 2017. Whitney also served as an HR Manager at SOTS - Mental Health & Drug and Alcohol Centers from June 2007 to April 2012. Throughout their career, they have been actively involved in analyzing problems, providing strategic advice, representing organizations in personnel-related hearings, and advising on HR plans and policies.

Whitney Thompson holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resource Management from Tarleton State University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Whitney also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, earned between 2009 and 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in November 2019, the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2016, an Extended DISC Facilitator certification in 2018, and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021.
