Curt Fischer

Curt Fischer is a consultant at Octant and previously worked as a metabolomics consultant at Hexagon Bio from August 2019 to December 2019. Prior to that, they were a metabolomics consultant at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub from May 2018 to April 2019. Fischer has also served as an advisor and board observer at Prospect Bio from November 2015 to December 2018 and as head of the Metabolic Chemistry Analysis Center at Stanford University from November 2015 to November 2019. Curt was also an affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from November 2014 to October 2015. Fischer began their career as a part-time instructor at Northeastern University in January 2012 before becoming a biological engineer at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. in January 2011. Curt then worked as a postdoctoral scholar at University of California, Berkeley from January 2009 to December 2011 and as a consultant at Trophos Energy from January 2008 to December 2009. Fischer founded C3 BioEnergy in January 2007 and served as its CEO until December 2008. Prior to that, they interned at Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation from March 2005 to August 2005.
