Pranav Thorat

Pranav Thorat began their work experience in 2017 as a Project Intern at VEM TOOLING PVT LTD, where they focused on cost estimation, design optimization, and the analysis of mold-making processes. In 2018, they took on an Internship Trainee role at ACE Kudale Car Pvt Ltd, gaining hands-on experience and problem-solving skills in the automotive industry. During the same year, they also became the Team Captain at MIT SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING PUNE, leading a team in the design and assembly of a Gokart and achieving 2nd place in a national-level project exhibition. In 2019, Pranav worked as a Project Intern at Sigma Electric Manufacturing Corporation, reducing rejection rates and increasing productivity. Pranav also became a Trainee Design Engineer at Mechatol engineering solution, where their responsibilities included Solidworks design and product sizing calculations. In 2020, Pranav undertook an internship at ELEATION, performing geometry editing, meshing, and analysis tasks. Currently, Pranav holds the role of Simulation Engineer at Octillion Power Systems, responsible for new product development, concept designing, system-level designing, and the design and validation of active cooling for commercial and passenger vehicles.

Pranav Thorat completed their education in mechanical engineering, obtaining a Bachelor of Technology degree from MIT ADT University in Pune, India. Prior to their university education, they obtained their Higher Secondary School Certificate from Arihant Education Foundations Arts, Science & Commerce College. Pranav's secondary education was completed at Nirmala Convent High School in Satara.

In addition to their formal education, Pranav obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Pranav completed an Engineering Trainee program in Mechanical Engineering from Aspiring Minds. Pranav also obtained certifications as a Mechanical Engineer from Aspiring Minds, a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Simplilearn, and a Six Sigma Green Belt from the University System of Georgia. Pranav has also completed various online courses, including courses on strategy and sustainable enterprise, effective business communication, and engineering simulations. Pranav underwent training programs on ANSYS software through ELEATION and IFS Academy. Furthermore, Pranav completed internships in hybrid and electric vehicles at Devise Electronics Pvt. Ltd.
