Marco Aurélio Fonseca

Marco Aurélio Fonseca is an Electrical Engineer specialized in Safety Engineering by UFMG, certified in petroleum processing technology by OPITO-UK and with several international trainings in the areas of HSE management, occupational hygiene, and environment.

He has more than 23 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working for both Brazilian and international companies, in Brazil and abroad, in the development and implementation of management systems, audits, risk management, emergency plans and crisis management, incident investigation , among others.

He has been working at Ocyan for over 13 years, where he started as the Occupational Safety Coordinator Engineer and is currently Vice President of Sustainability.

Since 2013, he has also served as coordinator of the QHSE Committee of ABESPETRO (Brazilian Association of Petroleum Service Providers), actively participating in the strategic agendas for standardization and improvement of the QHSE regulatory framework of the oil and gas industry.
