Jochen Meyer has a diverse background in research and development in the field of information technology. Jochen worked as a Softwareentwickler at WMD GmbH from July 1995 to May 1996. Following that, they joined OFFIS - Institute for Information Technology in June 1996 as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter, working on various research projects including digital libraries and eCommerce. In January 1999, Jochen became the Director of the R&D Division Health at OFFIS, where they coordinated and supervised the work of over 30 scientists in research and development projects related to the applications of information and communication technologies in healthcare, medicine, prevention, and healthy aging. Jochen'sresearch interests focused on technologies for prevention and well-being, ambient assisted living, and personal media usage.
Jochen Meyer began their education at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in 1989 and completed their Diplom degree in Informatik in 1994. Jochen pursued further studies at the same institution from 2012 to 2018, where they obtained a Promotion degree in Informatik.
