Willie McGregor F.i.r.m. (Risk Mgt)

Willie McGregor F.I.R.M. BA (Risk Mgt) has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of risk management. Starting in 1989, they worked at Bass PLC as a Risk Management Assistant, where they were responsible for various insurance programs and staff brokerage accounts. From 2000 to 2007, Willie served as a Risk Insurance Consultant at Standard Life PLC, handling global insurance placement and management. During this time, they also collaborated with brokers and supported insurance programs for major projects.

Willie then moved on to become an Operational Risk Consultant at Standard Life PLC from 2008 to 2013. In this role, they developed the revised Risk Framework, facilitated training, and organized and coordinated risk committee meetings.

In 2014, Willie joined Iron Mountain as an Insurance Manager Europe, overseeing UK-based insurance policies and managing relationships with brokers across Europe. Willie later transitioned to the Future Williams & Glyn Team at RBS in 2015, working as a Risk Manager. During this role, they reviewed risks and issues within the group and prepared for the company's sell-off. Willie actively resized risks, determined action plans, and implemented governance processes.

From 2019 to 2020, Willie served as a Risk Analyst at FNZ (UK) LTD, where they developed and presented risk assurance information to financial services clients. Additionally, they conducted regular client calls to discuss various risk and control issues.

Most recently, Willie worked at Ukhsa as a Risk & Compliance Lead from 2021 to 2022, overseeing risk and compliance activities within the organization. Currently, they hold the position of Risk & Assurance Manager at Ofgem, having started in August 2022.

Willie McGregor F.I.R.M. BA (Risk Mgt) completed their Bachelor's degree in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, between 1986 and 1989.
