Marcia Stokes

Marcia Stokes, Ph.D. has a strong background in training and development. From 2007 to the present, they have been working at Ogletree Deakins as the Director of Talent (Career) Development. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all training and people development programs, including onboarding, role-based learning, and specialized training topics. Marcia recruits, leads, and coaches multi-site teams. Prior to this, they worked at MSS Training Services as an Independent Training Contractor & Consultant from 2004 to 2007, where they trained users of various levels and industries in training software. From 2000 to 2004, they were the Manager of Learning & Development at POWELL, GOLDSTEIN, FRAZER & MURPHY, LLP, where they planned, coordinated, and managed in-house training and development programs and provided guidance to the training staff.

Marcia Stokes, Ph.D. obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organizational Leadership from Liberty University between the years 2020 and 2023. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Executive Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership, both from Liberty University. Their undergraduate education was at Beulah Heights University, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Leadership Studies. Additionally, Marcia holds certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance and Certified DISC Behavior Analyst (CDBA) from Data Dome, Inc. Marcia also has completed a certification on Creating Leadership Development Programs from the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
