Carol Garvey has a diverse work history in human resources and facilities management. Carol worked as the Director of Human Resources and Facilities at Ohio Desk starting in November 2019. Prior to that, they were a Human Resource Consultant at ConnectedHR from April 2018 to November 2019, where they provided advice and support to small organizations in areas such as compliance, training, recruiting, and employee relations. From 2013 to 2017, Carol held various roles at Invacare Corporation, including Senior Manager of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition and Regional HR Business Partner. In these roles, they focused on talent acquisition, performance management, training, and employee engagement. Before Invacare, they served as the Area HR Manager at Penske Truck Leasing and the Senior HR Representative at Penske Logistics, where they oversaw HR strategy, training, employee relations, and succession planning. Earlier in their career, Carol was the Manager of College and University Relations & Internship Program at KeyBank and the HR Manager of the Career Opportunity Management Training Program & College Recruiting at Applied Industrial Technologies. Throughout their career, Carol has demonstrated expertise in HR strategy, talent acquisition, training and development, and employee engagement.
Carol Garvey attended the University of Dayton, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Management. Carol then went on to further their education at Ashland University, where they obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration. In addition to their degrees, Carol has also obtained a certification in Change Management from Prosci & the Change Management Learning Center in July 2013. Prior to their university education, Carol attended Padua Franciscan High School.
