Barry Gursky started their work experience in 1986 as a Research Engineer at Jim Walter Research Corporation. From 1989 to 1992, they worked as a Product Engineer at En-Tout-Cas (USA) Inc., where they supervised various aspects of the company's surface products. In 1992, they joined Oil-Dri Corporation of America as a Powders Processing Team Leader, and later took on roles such as Process Development Engineer, Interim Powders Plant Manager, and Regional Sales Manager. Barry'sresponsibilities included sales management, technical selling, and process improvement. Barry ultimately became the Sales Manager for North America and Europe, focusing on strategic sales for various industries.

Barry Gursky's education history begins in 1980 when they enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology for their Bachelor of Ceramic Engineering degree, which they successfully completed in 1984. Barry further pursued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from 1984 to 1986.

In 1987, Barry Gursky continued their educational journey at the Florida Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management, which they completed in 1988.

Besides their formal education, Barry Gursky also obtained certification in HLS2X: Contract Law: From Trust to Promise to Contract from HarvardX, which is an online learning initiative by Harvard University through edX. Barry received this certification in May 2020.
