Deputy Manager - Human Capital at Ol Pejeta Conservancy

James Chumbe Siundu has had a varied work experience. James began their career as an Administration Intern at the Kenya Institute of Social Work and Community Development in 2005, where they were responsible for student record management and the implementation of an electronic exam records system. In 2008, they worked as an HR Intern at the Ministry of State for Development of Northern Kenya & Other Arid Lands, where they assisted in the development of the Ministry's Human Resource Information System and participated in staff recruitment and selection processes. From 2009 to 2010, James worked as an HR/Admin Assistant at the Kenya Institute of Social Work & Community Development, where they supported various international affiliated programs and training initiatives. In 2010, they joined the Youth Enterprise Development Fund as a Human Resource Officer, where they played a key role in the development and implementation of the organization's HR strategic plan and supervised HR assistants. Since 2014, James has been working at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy as the Deputy Manager - Human Capital. In this role, they contribute to the conservation of endangered species and oversees human capital management.

James Chumbe Siundu completed their education in a chronological manner. In 2003 to 2004, they attended Daystar University, where they obtained an Association of Business Executives (ABEUK) Diploma in Business Administration. Following that, from 2006 to 2009, they enrolled at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree, specializing in Human Resource Management. Moving ahead, in 2012, they attended the College of Human Resource Management in Nairobi, Kenya, where they earned a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management.

Additionally, James obtained a Human Resource Practicing Certificate in March 2022 from the Institute of Human Resource Management.
