Ray Deftereos

Ray Deftereos is currently serving as the CIO of Bank Build at Old Mutual Limited since January 2024. Prior to this role, Ray worked as a Digital Banking Senior Advisor at Kearney from January 2022 to January 2024 and held the position of CEO at Hospitality Technology International (Pty) Ltd from April 2013 to December 2021. Ray's extensive experience also includes key roles at Gijima, Absa Bank, Visolution, Outsource Decisions & Management Services, Electronic Data Systems, DYNAMIC BEDDING, and BDO, where responsibilities ranged from Chief Client Officer to Financial Manager. Ray completed education at Pretoria Boys High School and Farrarmere Primary.
