Susan Evans

Susan Evans is an accomplished professional in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as the Head of Intellectual Property at Olema Oncology since August 2025. Prior to this role, Susan held various senior positions at Nektar Therapeutics from September 2016 to August 2025, including Intellectual Property Consultant, Vice President Intellectual Property, and Executive Director of Intellectual Property. Susan also served as the Head of IP and Senior Director IP at IGM Biosciences, Inc. from January 2024 to May 2025, and as a Patent Agent at McDermott Will & Emery from August 2012 to September 2016, where responsibilities included patent application drafting and prosecution, as well as portfolio management across various technical specialties. Earlier in the career, Susan worked as a Patent Agent/Senior Patent Agent at King & Spalding LLP as part of the Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Intellectual Property Practice Group. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from U.C. Davis and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Chemistry from Smith College.
