Laura Acton

Laura Acton, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Laura is currently the Business Owner of Kids First Pediatric Therapy, LLC since March 2020. Prior to that, they held various positions at Olgoonik Corporation, including Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Human Resources, and HR Supervisor from 2011 to 2015. Laura also worked as an HR Coordinator at Tecnico Corporation in 2010 and as an HR/ Employee Relations Assistant at Chugach Alaska Corporation from 2009 to 2010. Laura Acton served as a Payroll Supervisor at Work for Progress/ Public Interest Research Group in 2008 and as an HR/Recruiting Supervisor at TRI Staffing from 2006 to 2008. Laura'searly career began at AT&T, where they worked as the General Manager of Sales from 2000 to 2006.

Laura Acton, SPHR, obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Apparel Merchandising and Design from Auburn University in 2003. In addition to their degree, they have achieved various certifications including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in 2016, the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in November 2015, the Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI in November 2014, and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from HRCI in 2014.
