Christopher Baines

Christopher Baines has a diverse work experience in the compliance and financial crime field. Christopher is currently working at OMNIO as the Deputy Director of Compliance, DPO, and MLRO. Prior to that, they were the Head of Banking Services, Operational Compliance & Financial Crime at OMNIO. Before joining OMNIO, Christopher worked at Beard Strength as a Co-Founder. Christopher also founded STATESIDE TREAT EMPORIUM LIMITED. Christopher has also held various positions at Pockit, including VP of Compliance & MLRO and Head of Compliance & MLRO. Christopher has prior experience at WIRECARD CARD SOLUTIONS LIMITED, where they served as a Risk & Oversight Manager, Risk and Oversight Team Leader, Senior Financial Crime and Compliance Officer, and Financial Crime and Compliance Officer.

Christopher Baines earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy and Finance from Newcastle University, a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association in 2013, a Diploma in Compliance from the International Compliance Association in 2014, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association in 2017.
