Boren Lu has held various positions in the field of Data Science since 2017. In 2017, they were a Data Scientist Intern at Nanhua Futures Co, where they developed a new strategy to predict prices of stocks, futures, and share options based on several relatively new neural network models. Boren also built the training model from the ground, improving the efficiency of the model in order to reduce training time. In 2018, they were a Research Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology, where they studied RPA and found out what educational assistance was available from the major companies in the industry. Boren also introduced Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into its undergraduate and graduate curricula in Business Process Management. Boren was also a Data Scientist Consultant at Atlantic Coast Brands and a Data Scientist at omniX labs in 2019. Additionally, they worked on a Data Science Industry Project (Wiley Publishing, Fortune 500 Beauty Company) at Stevens Institute of Technology in 2018, where they investigated and presented to Wiley management the feasibility of a predictive model for predicting popular research topics in biomaterials through data exploration, visualization, and NLP.

Boren Lu obtained a Master's degree in Business Intelligence & Analytics from Stevens Institute of Technology between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University between 2011 and 2015.
