Laura Polk is an anthropologist and brings experience as a researcher, nonprofit program manager, and ESOL instructor. She is passionate about working behind the scenes to support organizations committed to social change.
Laura holds a master's in Applied Anthropology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and B.A. in Psychology from Eastern Mennonite University. After graduate school, she was part of an interdisciplinary research team studying faith-based organizations. This research involved conducting ethnography on two evangelical organizations in the DC area.
Laura has lived abroad in Ghana and Guatemala, and taught English in Honduras. A Nutella enthusiast, she lives in Richmond, Va and you can find her at a bookstore, museum, coffee shop or simply outside people-watching.
