Tracy Stonestreet

Tracy Stonestreet, PhD, serves as the Director of Galleries at the University of Mary Washington since August 2023 and holds the position of Academic Director for the Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) since October 2022. As a Research Specialist for On-Ramps since March 2019, Tracy previously contributed as an Assistant Professor of Contemporary Art and Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts from August 2021 to August 2023. Tracy also held roles at Virginia Commonwealth University from August 2015 to August 2021, including Affiliate Graduate Faculty and Instructor, teaching courses in Art History and Craft & Material Studies. Tracy has experience as an Assistant Professor of Fine Art at Hampton University (August 2011 - August 2015) and as a Teaching Assistant at UNC Chapel Hill (August 2009 - September 2011). Tracy's earlier career included a position as Creative Team Manager at Empire Properties from September 2004 to August 2008. Tracy's education includes a PhD in Visual and Performing Arts, an MFA in Studio Art, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Art & Design and History from North Carolina State University.
